Polls See Hanna More Appealing to the Electorate than Golding

The latest polls within the People’s National Party’s (PNP) Presidential runoff, show contender Lisa Hanna, as more appealing to the Jamaican electorate over Mark Golding. However, a previous poll indicated that Golding is best suited to lead the PNP at this time.

The winner which will be decided by the delegates will be declared in just five days. The poll commissioned by the “bring back di love” camp, sees Lisa Hanna as the candidate more likely to attract youth to the people’s national party.

Meanwhile, Mark Golding received only 17 percent in that regard. 1,078 persons were surveyed in all parishes with a margin of error of plus or minus five percent

The Bluedot insights opinion poll which was conducted between October 28 and October 31 indicates, that Hanna is more likely to defeat Prime Minster Andrew Holness, with 46 per cent compared to Golding’s 36 per cent.

But according to a former Member of Parliament of the party, Lloyd B Smith these polls are not the final predictors and it’s for the delegates to decide. Smith says based on observations on the ground, Mark appears to be in the lead.

But according to the poll Hanna will have a higher appeal with the Jamaican electorate with 52 per cent, this compared to Golding’s 34 per cent.
