One international stakeholder in the energy sector has reiterated the need for local politicians to lend their support to the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) Company if it is to seriously prevent electricity theft.
Meanwhile, Energy Minister Daryl Vaz says the government’s committed to doing its part in helping to stem the rampant theft experienced by the utility provider.
He says the power company has been implementing several strategies to reduce technical and system losses over time despite challenges.
