Police in the Central Kingston Police Division have again listed several wanted men following continued gun violence in the area in the Christmas period. This is the third such meeting in the space in recent weeks.

As violent crimes continue to plague Central Kingston, members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force have taken to the streets of one community, where they announced a list of ten wanted men from the area.

Residents gathered on Fleet and Barry Streets, as operation officer of the Kingston central division, Deputy Superintendent of Police Linval Phoenix gave a thorough description of each.

DSP Phoenix urged family members and friends of the wanted men who may have been present, to advise them to turn themselves in. They’re asked to do so by January 6 at noon. Posts on the police’s social media page say the meeting was in an attempt to pledge support to the residents. It says residents were receptive to the visit and promise to now partner with the police.

The meeting follows an upsurge in gang violence and two previous street meetings in the central Kingston space in weeks.
