The Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson says severe delays in the processing time for police records will soon be a thing of the past, as applications will soon be facilitated online. 

The Police Commissioner says the online process will speed up processing time and the service quality, as he stresses that the JCF’s responsibilities span beyond just crime and violence. He says there has been a need identified for the service, as more organizations are requesting police records as part of various processes. As such, he reassures Jamaicans that the police are actively working to remedy the issue. 

Meanwhile, Major General Antony Anderson reports while major crimes are down by one per cent, there has been an uptick in robberies and break-ins. More details below:
