Prime Minister Andrew Holness says with the ongoing energy crisis which has led to increase fuel costs, the cost to travel could be significantly affected, hampering tourism. He’s warning tourism stakeholders to prepare for the possible shortfall.

PM Holness is raising concern about the possible threat of global travel, due to the increase of fuel prices. A growing concern since the Russia-Ukraine conflict, where sanctions imposed on Russia threaten a potential global energy crisis. PM Holness however says if this continues, the tourism sector will be impacted immensely.

He’s warning all stakeholders to prepare. He was speaking at the fourth CEO summit of the Americas in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday.
