PM Announces Initiatives to Bolster Jamaica’s Creative Sector

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has committed to doing more to facilitate the rebirth of the creative sector following several blows dealt by the pandemic. Noting that creatives play a critical role in the return to economic growth and normality he says the government will be rolling out several initiatives to help.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Tuesday announced the building of international economic order. This he says is to provide equity in shared wealth to bolster growth and development.

The Prime Minister notes the most important resource is the creativity of the people, something he says the government will be investing heavily in. Mr. Holness notes that African cultures have a competitive advantage and are in great demand internationally. He says African persons and nations of African descent represent the element of knowledge and expertise in the creative sector.
