The recent annual Pension Industry Association of Jamaica, PIAJ, seminar saw stakeholders discussing among other things the current state of pension systems globally.
David Kaplan Lead Specialist in Labor Markets and Social Security Division at the Inter-Development Bank, IDB, was the keynote speaker at the Pension Industry Association of Jamaica Annual Luncheon on Thursday. Kaplan in his presentation highlighted the key goals which aim to provide a better quality of life in the golden years of senior citizens. The lead specialist says the IDB has embarked on a different approach towards the pension systems regarding their design. This approach he explains is universal pension. Watch the report:
