Grade six students across Jamaica received their results from the Primary Exit Profile examinations (PEP). The education ministry convened a media briefing today updating the nation on the achievements. Education Minister Fayval Williams told the media Friday, the results of this year’s Primary Exit Profile exams are somewhat difficult to compare to previous sittings, as the components are varied.

The ability test which is curriculum-based, was sat at over thousand sites across Jamaica. A total of 36,078 students were registered for the pep exams. The minister outlines the placement of students in relation to their results. Of note, Minister Williams says the schools of choice were at a higher percentage when compared to previous years. A detailed report will be given to parents which will outline the performance level of their child.
