Pandemonium At Westmoreland Council Meeting

At the Council Meeting in Westmoreland on Thursday, tensions escalated due to a controversial motion proposed by Deputy Mayor Danree Delancy from Sav-La-Mar. As a result, Deputy Mayor Delancy was removed from office after votes were cast in favor of Ian Miles, a former Councilor from Little London who now serves as an independent. Earlier in the week, Miles and two other PNP councillors had already resigned from their positions.

CVM LIVE has learned that the Deputy Mayor’s removal took place on Thursday following the introduction of a contentious motion. This motion sparked a lengthy debate and a spirited exchange among the councillors, who delved into discussions about the council’s bylaws and the Municipal Corporation Act of 2016.
