The Opposition is dismissing claims made by the government being unaware of onions imported to Jamaica. Only recently farmers in Heartease and Llandewey communities in St Thomas staged a protest claiming that the government has handicapped their production by importing onions.
This follows the Potato & Onion Producers Association of Jamaica (POPA) assisting to accommodate farmers with markets. Watch the report:
