The Opposition is expressing dissatisfaction with the lengthy delay in the rehabilitation of the Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay, St. James.
This follows a tour of the type a facility earlier today (January 14, 2020)
According to Shadow Minister on Health, Dr. Morais Guy, the Government is putting little to no effort in completing the rehabilitation of the western hospital.
Since 2016, the type a facility has been undergoing major rehabilitation.
Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Christopher Tufton, during his contribution to the 2020/21 sectoral debate in July of last year, says the Government has expended more than $3.5 billion dollars.
Dr. Guy has taken issue with the Government’s decision to seek international contractors.
