While we have seen many protests for water and the wetting of roads causing dust nuisance, it is not very often that we hear cries spurred by an overflow. However, such was the plight of one St. Catherine resident who has been suffering since November because of a leaking pipe. As fate would have it, ahead of CVM LIVE’s intervention she received the help she long demanded.

Susan Green a resident of Green Acres in Spanish Town, St Catherine has been battling a leak from last year that she alleges has been damaging her infrastructure. Ms Green says she hired a plumber but was told the issue needed to be addressed by the National Water Commission (NWC). She says after that report she didn’t call back until she realized the drip soon became an eroded pipe imitating a flowing river. Green says she reported the issue until March but received no resolution and was later told her case was closed.

Fueled by frustration she came to the media seeking intervention. Watch the report:
