NSWMA Boss Defends Privatization Move By Gov’t

Prime Minister’s Announcement of Garbage Collection Privatization Receives Praise as ‘Hopeful’ Move – The recent declaration by Prime Minister Andrew Holness regarding the privatization of garbage collection has been applauded as a promising step forward. Audley Gordon, the Executive Director at the National Solid Waste Management Authority, NSWMA,  referred to it as a “light at the end of the tunnel.” In discussions with our reporter Natalia Clarke today, Gordon expressed the view that there’s shared responsibility for the country’s waste issue and noted a sense of relief that tangible action is finally being taken.
