More than two hundred employees of the Technical Services Department at the government-operated Petrojam have returned to work after staging a sickout on Wednesday. This situation drew the attention of multiple government ministries, leading to a series of meetings. While some semblance of normalcy has been restored, Telroy Morgan, the General Manager of Petrojam Limited, has emphasized that negotiations are still in progress between the Ministry of Finance and the various Petrojam employee representatives.

In the wake of a worker sickout on Tuesday, supported by the Union of Clerical, Administrative, and Supervisory Employees (UCASE), several meetings were organized. The initial meeting involved UCASE representatives, followed by discussions with stakeholders from the Ministries of Finance and Labour and Social Security. Morgan remains optimistic that these discussions will result in productive outcomes. Watch the report:
