Delroy Laing, a former janitorial supervisor hired by the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) is imploring for financial and legal support after an accident on the job left him paralyzed.

The incident that took place almost a decade ago has drained him of any hope and money he had on his quest for justice.

He claims he is being shunned by the legal system that yielded little to no tangible results. His fall, on the hospital’s compound, has now disabled him for life.

Laing said the hospital paid for his surgery however, today he says he can hardly afford to live comfortably as before as he no longer can work to get an income.

He believes that as far as legal advice, he feels as though no one is on his side.
