The fate of the next maroon chief in Moore Town is still in limbo as Sunday’s election results are yet to be disclosed. Security forces as well as the media swarmed the Portland community to witness an attempt to unseat the incumbent, Chief Wallace Sterling.

Rio Grande Valley Maroons rallied around Lomorra Dillon who they hope to be their new leader. The eighteen-year-old is challenging their current Maroon Chief, Colonel Wallace Sterling who, locals say, has been negligent in his role.

Dillon’s mother, Annette Aarons, having served as a young council member herself, says Chief Wallace’s presence was not needed to carry out an election. More below:
