Rights for persons with disabilities are now guaranteed in law. According to the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP) expanding opportunities for persons with disabilities should be the key focus for private and public entities. This venture requires an open mind and public education. To this end, 20 braille machines were donated to the Salvation Army School for the Blind by the United Nations Development Programme.

Executive Director of Combined Disabilities Association Gloria Goffe says many are open to giving. However, there is hesitancy in making addition and accommodation for persons with disabilities due to how costly it is. School Principal Iyeke Erharuyi explains the machines are like pens and pares for the students and teachers.

Though the school creates a haven for attendees, Erharuyi says the school needs financial support. More details below:
