The National Parenting Support Commission (NPSC ) observes November as parenting month. Now this time around the commission has placed greater emphasis on fatherhood and the absence of dads in the lives of their children.

Chief Executive Officer of the NPSC Kaysia Kerr says there is a high rate of absence of fathers and the commission is on a mandate to provide support for dads.

While the commission has taken the initiative to incorporate fathers, she adds that it is imperative that both parents are fully effective and involved with their children’s lives, so that they are better equipped to contribute to the growth and development of the nation.
