An estimated 50 percent of Jamaica’s educators are yet to be compensated despite a recent promise of payout to include their retroactive pay for Monday.

President of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA), Lasonja Harrison is urging teachers who are so impacted to contact their regional and association representatives. She notes with concern the pattern of delays and glitches in the system further hampering members.
