With the minimum wage expected to increase by some 44 percent in coming months, the Micro Small And Medium Sized Enterprise (MSMEs), alliance says it proves to be inadequate for people to live at a suitable standard given the rising inflation.
President of the MSMEs Alliance Donovan Wignall Says the minimum wage proves to be inadequate for earners given the current inflation woes. Wignall notes the current changes will not significantly impact the living conditions of minimum wage earners. Meantime, Wignall is appealing to employers to use conscience to provide compensation to minimum-wage earners. Watch the report:
