Montego Bay Vendors – Vendors along Church Lane and St. James street in the parish of Montego Bay, are protesting the decision by Mayor Leroy Williams, to have them come out at 1 pm daily and ply their trade up to curfew time at 10 pm during the festive season.

They say 1pm is too late in the day and are suggesting an earlier time, at 10am.

The vendors are appealing for consideration, in light of the economic challenges they face amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The police on site sought to calm the frustrated vendors.

CVM Live spoke with Mayor Williams who says no provision will be made for a grand market this year.
