MOE: At Least 80% Of Children Affected by Physical & Psychological Abuse

With at least 80 percent of students said to be facing psychological and physical abuse, Education Minister Fayval Williams, on Wednesday, points to factors such as their exposure to violence highlighted in a recent study also showing over 50 percent of the nation’s children are also bullied.

She also notes a large percentage have been exposed to violence and are bullied. The Minister says more active interventions are needed. The Education Minister was speaking at this Post-Cabinet Press Briefing at Jamaica House. Watch the report below:
