Mixed Reactions from Kingston Residents On SOE

Prime Minister Andrew Holness expressed confidence in the effectiveness of the State of Emergency (SOE) in fighting gang violence. And while some residents in east Kingston feel safer from the SEOs, others think it is ineffective.

Residents say Jamaica Defence Force soldiers were patrolling areas of east Kingston since the declaration of the state of emergency, midnight Saturday.
