Former Deputy Chairman of the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA), Dennis Meadows is calling on the government to focus on alternative ways to fight crime. He also urges the government to improve the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) ability to effectively carry out detailed investigations.

The step to refashion the JCF’s uniform is under scrutiny by former Deputy Chairman of the Firearm Licensing Authority, Dennis Meadows, who believes there are more pressing concerns that ought to be prioritized.  He clothes his argument by hailing the law enforcers as “fashion police”, noting these are superficial fixes, as he calls for substantial transformation to be done, to improve the force’s efficiency.

While Meadows acknowledge the government’s strides to improve the country’s legislative mandates, He says this alone will not deter criminals. As he champions the call for investment to be poured into the force’s investigative capacity.
