Following the viral video on social media where some municipal police were confiscating goods from a vendor allegedly plying her wares in a non-vending zone, some Jamaicans have been left irked with actions taken by the authorities.
Many described the measure as unnecessary.
May Pen Mayor Winston Maragh says rules must be followed to maintain order and safety in the town and that the vendor’s goods were taken because of her failure to comply with the officers.
