The first of seven no movement days was nothing short of a blessing for many of the homeless in the corporate area. The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) ensured that just like on other days when movement is permitted, the homeless were fed.

It is the norm for the KSAMC’s temporary shelter and soup kitchen on Church Street, Downtown Kingston to provide two meals per day to the homeless; approximately 700 meals during each period.

Day one of 7 days of COVID-19 lockdown, was no different, as Mayor Delroy Williams and his team ensured that despite the lockdown, the homeless people were well fed.
