Massive turn out for Ocho Rios Vaccination Blitz – Vaccination blitz activities continue across the island during the no-movement days slated for this week. In St Ann, at the famous Turtle River Park, people came out in their numbers to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The latest report shared with us says one thousand and fifty-seven (1,057) people were vaccinated. The large crowd was a bother to some but for others a necessary hurdle in the fight against COVID-19.

It was an unexpected turnout but the security forces at the blitz site saw it coming. Not everyone was able to take the large crowd in stride. One suggestion in crowd control was shared by this Fern Court past student and further echoed by retired pediatrician Horace Betan.

Friends and family showed up together in an attempt to prolong their lives by taking the vaccine, CVM TV spoke to a handful of the persons present. Some proudly said that they were able to convert a few friends and family members, some expressed fear of getting the virus and then dying, others believe that private Medical practitioners can assist with inoculation in order to limit the growing lines of people and maintain peace and order.
