Massive Fire Destroys Three Businesses In Highgate St. Mary

A massive fire engulfed a building, housing three businesses in a section of Highgate, St. Mary on Wednesday night. The fire which started at approximately 10:05 pm on Wednesday engulfed a wooden structure and caused extensive damage to a container that housed an auto parts shop and a clothing store. Two fire units responded to the blaze. Total damage estimated by the Jamaica Fire Brigade is at $25 million dollars. No injuries were reported. The origin of the fire is uncertain and investigations are ongoing.
