‘Mask Up Before You Talk Up” – The Minister of Health and Wellness Dr. Christopher Tufton continued the launch of the “mask up before you talk up” initiative on Thursday, November 26, this time in the western end of the island, the parish of St. James.

The campaign sees community health aides visiting high traffic town centres across the island to remind individuals to protect themselves during the Christmas season.

The activity is part of the Ministry’s ongoing public education campaign to engage with citizens across the island, and encourage safety measures to reduce the risk of contracting and spreading COVID-19.

Dr. Tufton says it is understandable that people would be tempted to go out, however there will be consequences if the health protocols are not followed.

He adds that staffing is in place at all public health facilities, this in case infected persons require medical attention.
