Man Shot And Killed After Alleged Altercation With Police

Thirty-three-year-old Kenrick Genus was shot and killed on Federal Road by police in Horizon Park, St. Catherine on Thursday morning. It is alleged that there was an altercation between Genus and members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

Director of Complaints at the Independent Commission of Investigations (Indecom) Nigel Morgan says investigations are now underway into the incident.

Morgan says interviews have been conducted with residents in the community. However, with the information that has been gathered, there were no witnesses at the time of the shooting.
