The Medical Association of Jamaica, on Friday, unveiled a plaque for Jamaica’s physicians, as recognition for their selfless efforts fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. President of the medical association of Jamaica, Dr. Brian James, paid homage to Jamaica’s physicians for their extended efforts, in fighting the scourge of the COVID-19 pandemic, since March 2020.

It comes in the context of health care workers’ appreciation month including an unveiling ceremony on Friday. Dr James highlighted the importance of the nation’s front-line workers, who work diligently to protect citizens. President of the Jamaica Medical Doctors Association, Dr Mindi Fitz Henley, lauded the MAJ and the Ministry of Health for the recognition and support, given to all the doctors throughout the pandemic.
