Councillor for the Llandewey Division, the People’s National Party’s (PNP) Edwin Marr says residents recently impacted by a curfew are pleased with the crime-fighting measure. He notes however that the situation in the area grew tense due to gang violence and domestic feuds over the years.

The Councillor says fear had gripped many of the residents following a wave of crime. The politician notes gang feuds, family conflicts, and other disputes have been linked to the bulk of the crime and violence in the space over the last two years. Meantime, he says if the curfew was made public before imposition, the meaning may have been lost.
