The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) says it is modifying the index used for the inspection of the roadways following increased reports of the substandard services by contractors. From collapsed bridges to impassable roads fueling questions of whether the damage is evidence of climate change or road construction works being short-changed.
Over in Seaview Gardens, neighbours complain about flooding caused by the construction of the Spanish Town Road Bypass. Additionally some parts of the road have begun to erode.
The Mayor explains that the KSAMC will be intensifying the frequency and consistency of the inspections to assess not only the main thoroughfares but also community roads.
