The Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation ( KSAMC) presented the keys to the city of Kingston, to Windhoek, Namibia, as a symbol of partnership and mutual understanding.
Both cities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, to form a Jamaica-Namibia joint committee. Kingston Mayor, Senator Delroy Williams, says this initiative will reap rewards for both countries. Mayor Williams says as the government aims to re-develop Downtown Kingston, Namibia will be playing a critical role in this initiative.
Meantime, former Mayor of Windhoek and leader of the delegation, Dr Job Amu-Panda, says the specific areas of collaboration mentioned, will present opportunities for the future. Watch the full report for more details:
