The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation is appealing to property owners of abandoned buildings in Downtown Kingston to renovate them.

This is a part of the Corporation’s push in beautifying and re-injecting life in the capital city.

Several mural projects are being undertaken in an effort to reflect the cultural heritage and vision of the city.

Mayor of the KSAMC, Delroy Williams is making the appeal.

He adds that there is now a need for green spaces in the city and that the KSAMC will be speaking to the property owners to transform the areas.

Meanwhile, temple lane in Down Town Kingston is the latest addition to the “Paint Up Yu Creative Space” being muralized by a Mexican painter who is fusing Jamaica’s culture of music to that of Mexico.

The project aims to promote Kingston s international designation as a creative city.
