The Government of Jamaica will be spending nearly 3- billion dollars in the fiscal year 2022/23 in order to improve the service provided by the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC). 

Reports from newly appointed Transport Minister Audley Shaw during Tuesday’s Standing Finance Committee Meeting, is that 50 new buses have been approved by the Ministry of Finance and Public Service. Minister Audley Shaw told Opposition Spokesman on Transport and Works, Mikael Phillips, that the buses are expected to land in six months.
