In a bid to spread more peaceful ways of resolving conflict, the Justice Ministry held a Legal Aid Council Justice Fair in St. Thomas to provide citizens with options to settle disputes.

Justice Minister Delroy Chuck notes most conflicts that lead to senseless violence could have been avoided and that the government is on a mandate to bridge the gap between individuals by providing conflict resolution skills. The Minister points out that in cases of domestic disputes, there is a victim centre in each parish.

He says counseling and the necessary resources are provided. He also reiterated taking matters in hand is not the answer. This while noting the services of the justice ministry are fully accessible.
