JP Group Signs Over 87 Plots of Land to St Mary Community Members

In what is called the ‘Coleraine Land Grant Project’ Jamaica Producers Group (JP) formally signed over 87 plots of land on JP farms’ Chovey Farm Property in the parish of St. Mary to the Coleraine community. The official signing established a long-term commitment made by JP and the members of the community to regularize and develop the area into a safe, well-maintained residential neighbourhood. More than two hundred and fifty (250) residents of the Coleraine Pines Community are set to become homeowners.

State Minister for Industry, Investment and Commerce, Dr Norman Dunn says this will make way for significant development in the community and that more companies should invest in the people who invest in them.

As a first step, CEO, Jeffrey Hall on behalf of Jamaica Producers Group presented a financial grant of 250-thousand dollars to the Coleraine Benevolent Society for the improvement of the neighbourhood. Sabrina Edwards of the Coleraine Pines Benevolent Society says this move by JP has been 5 years in the making and will be far reaching. More details below:
