The public is being invited to write to Parliament’s Joint Select Committee (JSC) to report on the Integrity Commission Act of 2017. During a brief sitting of the committee, Justice Minister Delroy Chuck says the changes and views will be invited up to February 14, 2022. Consequently, the committee will meet to consider the submissions.

The committee met to deal with procedural matters; among the changes being touted even by the commission, is the removal or amendment of the Gag Clause in the Act. They also agreed that Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett should sit as chairman of the committee. 

Then Interim Chairman, Delroy chuck outlined plans to have the public air their views on the Integrity Commission Act of 2017. The Justice Minister says the committee will also be advertising and inviting public input in January 2022.

The committee will also be writing to several entities, associations, and organizations inviting them to examine the Integrity Commission Act.

All contributions should be in by February 14, 2022.
