The roll out of the National Reserve of the Jamaica Defense Force (JDF)  in December to help bolster safety and compliance  in the streets has been met with support and commendation.

During the period, statistics show that there has been a reduction in criminal activity when compared to previous years.

A month ago, Prime Minister Andrew Holness called out the National Reserve of the Jamaica Defence Force to support the police during the Christmas season.

Thursday, December 31, 2020 marked the end of the call out and members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) are lauding the presence of the JDF.

Senior Superintendent of Police for the  St. Catherine North Division, Beau Rigabie says without the JDF the gains experienced to date would be less.

Additionally, SSP Rigabe says they have assisted in major operations up to the last day in 2020, yielding many successes.

Meanwhile, Colonel Rohan Johnson says he’s pleased  to know the deployment of the national reserve was appreciated.

The colonel reiterates the JDF’s commitment to serving  and protecting the Jamaican people.
