JCF: Murder, Serious Crimes Have Declined

The nation’s leader promised a sustained reduction in violent crimes across Jamaica in 2023 -which so far is going according to the script, as the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is reporting 291 fewer incidents of serious crimes in the year (2023) when compared to the same period last year.

The current crime fighting efforts are apparently yielding positive results, as indicated by Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson, in his presentation at Tuesday’s Jamaica Constabulary Force’s quarterly press briefing.

The Commissioner says despite the decline, there is more to be done as there is concern regarding the attribution of murder across the island. He says the successes of the police are a direct result of collaborations between the Jamaica Defence Force and the citizens of Jamaica.
