Jamaica To Benefit From Digital Ecosystem: While the economies around the globe are slowly recovering from the throws of the coronavirus pandemic, the Caribbean region will get a boost for its digital economy.

Tech Beach launched its Tech Beach Retreat (TBR) Lab on Thursday.  TBR Lab is designed to drive innovation in organizations through learning, development and direct connections to local and global companies with the resources necessary to foster the digital shift in the Caribbean.

Kirk-Anthony Hamilton, Co-Founder of Tech Beach incorporated says the aim and vision of this venture was to develop and build an ecosystem in the Caribbean despite challenges.

Hamilton added that the ultimate goal is to bring the world economy at large to become a part of this new ecosystem and is a project he’s proud of.

Meanwhile Minister of Science and Technology, Daryl Vaz outlined the figures of persons to benefit from this venture and he says it will be conducive during the pandemic.

The program will provide some US $500,000 in value to be allocated to each participating tech startup based in Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago and direct access to insights from the best minds in the world as well as collaboration opportunities for Corporates and Governments.
