Jamaica Continues To Record Increase COVID-19 Cases

Jamaica continues to record daily increases of COVID-19 cases in all parishes.

With the upsurge, the Government is making preparations to accommodate persons who may require medical attention, as hospitals across the island are nearing capacity.

Based on the clinical summary for COVID-19, more women are being infected by the virus, but more men have died after an infectious contact.

And still elderly people are more at risk.

Meanwhile, Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Christopher Tufton, says the Healthcare Workers Incentive Programme that expired, will be reinstated.
