Jamaica Continues to Provide Care for Burn Victims

There is no denying the county’s need for a specialized burn unit, however one medical official from western Jamaica says even as the local health care system is unable to fully treat victims with severe burns, hospitals in Jamaica are still able to provide some level of care. 

Senior medical officer of health at the Cornwall Regional Hospital, Dr. Derek Harvey, says hospitals across the island continue to treat patients who have received burns whether it be from a house fire, chemical burns electric burns or otherwise.
