The Guys Hill High School in St. Catherine was the latest to be rewarded for their commitment to anti-doping. The Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission, JADCO donated five laptops to the school following their unmatched online participation during their second virtual anti-doping workshop.

The devices were handed over in Kingston earlier this week.

When the Covid -19 pandemic hit, JADCO took its junior athlete anti-doping workshop online, not once, but twice; a pivotal move for a major segment of the Jamaican society.

Its aim is to steer young athletes from doping, and to reward the schools with the highest number of participants. Member of Parliament for North Eastern St. Catherine, Kerensia Morrison while lauding the students and teachers says she’s aware of the difficulties the area faces connecting to the internet. She also adds, despite the negative tales, some young Jamaicans continue to do well. Meantime, JADCO Chairman Alexander Williams says more donations are pending.
