Crab circle, a popular food spot in Kingston has received a well needed face-lift with newly constructed stalls for the vendors.

Vendors are hopeful the upgrade will boost sales. Within a month, a full transformation along Heroes Circle in Kingston. The popular spot referred to as crab circle has for decades been part of Jamaica’s street food culture, as motorists and pedestrians alike purchase crab, corn, soup as well as roast yam and salt-fish from the vendors daily.

In addition to the stalls, a seating area was also constructed and the space supplied with piped water. Mayor of Kingston Senator Delroy Williams says the development of local commercial spaces is important to the country’s overall prosperity. Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Desmond McKenzie urged the vendors to maintain the newly renovated space.
