Health workers and adults with underlying health issues will be prioritized for the COVID-19 vaccine come next year; the Health Minister told the parliament the Ministry’s hoping to vaccinate at least a quarter of the population by April.

However, opposition spokesman on health, Dr. Morais Guy argues that the number of vaccines may be woefully inadequate for the country’s current and projected  COVID-19 cases.

According to the ministry, Westmoreland is now recording a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases and worrying deaths.
