Health Minister Seeks to Improve the Port Antonio Hospital

During a recent tour of the Port Antonio Hospital, the Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton spoke at length about his plans to improve the quality of care for patients. He says he would like his plans to be implemented this year.

His visit was geared towards hearing the concerns of the staff, and to communicate with areas he wishes to strengthen in the hospital. The Minister was adamant about the need to improve the relationship between patients and medical practitioners to optimize patient care. He is also establishing a partnership with the BPO sector, to take calls from patients and relay their complaints directly to the hospital.
