With many calls for students to return to face to face learning full time, one school Principal in Portland says re-socialization has been the main issue for students as they have lost a lot of time in the company of their peers.

He notes the shortage of teachers has also been a contributing factor to the learning losses. Principal of the Port Antonio High School, Basil Graham on Tuesday provided our news team with an update on how the school term has been faring. 

Mr. Graham notes currently, a total of 1,687 students are registered. He says in regards to academic performance the school has been seeing low numbers. However, he sought to highlight the challenges being faced at this point in time.

The shortage of teachers has also impacted learning. Meanwhile this parent of two, tells are our news team that since the return to face to face learning, it has somewhat lifted the financial burden.
