Prime Minister (PM) Andrew Holness, toured sections of the Spanish Town road potable water transmission mains project, Friday. The project is hoped to significantly increase the water supply to communities in and around Kingston.

He says the government’s upgrading national-building infrastructure for the benefit of the people. PM Holness says there are mains that have been laid for almost 50 years, adding the project was necessary for a reliable water supply.

He says this is by far the largest and most complex water supply rehabilitation project to be undertaken in Jamaica or the region.
